The Archdiocese of Los Angeles announced on March 24, 2020 to close the church, and continue the suspension of Masses, amid the current health threat due to COVID-19

(novel coronavirus).

Updated on March 26, 2020

“I deeply regret that we are forced to temporarily suspend public celebration of the Mass in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. What we do in the Church, we do out of love for God and love for our brothers and sisters. We are taking this extraordinary step today out of love and concern for those in our families and communities who are most vulnerable to this deadly coronavirus.”

-Archbishop José H. Gomez

Saint Bernard Catholic Community,

Due to the continuing rise of COVID-19 cases, the Archbishop came to a decision on March 26, to close all parishes until further notice.

Please read below our temporary office hours, how to contact us, and stay up to date on any changes made at St. Bernard.

Your safety is our priority, and we will keep everyone informed of any changes made daily.  As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

Mass & Ministries

Abiding by the Safer at Home Order, all masses, ministries and services are suspended until April 19, or further notice.  Our church will remain closed as well.  Please continue to pray at home.

Soup Night will continue every Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, drive-thru style.  We appreciate your support to our Pantry ministry.

Confessions & Anointing of the Sick

Unless an emergency, confession has also been suspended at the church.  For emergencies on confession, anointing, and communion, please contact the office.

Mass intentions are being offered daily in Fr. Toribio and Fr. Daniel's private masses.

Our receptionists will contact the families of those affected with upcoming events in March and April.
