Since 1990, the National Coalition for the Homeless has sponsored National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, every year on December 21st, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year.
On December 21, 2023, at 7pm, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels,we invite you to join us in solidarity with hundreds of people gathering in cities throughout the country. We will take this time to remember our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness who lost their lives within our neighborhoods in Los Angeles County.

Join us, to acknowledge and honor the lives of our brothers and sisters who lost their lives on the streets of Los Angeles. This year we are asking attendees to process with a candle that will represent the lives of all persons who died experiencing homelessness.
