Thinking About Becoming Catholic — or Completing Your Sacraments?

You are welcome here — questions, doubts, and all. The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is how our parish walks with you as you explore the Catholic faith.

What is OCIA?

OCIA is the Catholic Church’s way of welcoming adults ages 18 and older who feel drawn to the Catholic faith. It is a season of reflection, prayer, instruction, and discernment — not a class you take on your own, but a journey you make alongside our parish community.

Program Start: August 16, 2026

Time: Sundays, 10:30am-12:30pm

Location: School Library, 2nd Floor

Contact: Desi Ortiz desvil@verizon.net

Who is it for?

Find Your Path! OCIA is not one-size-fits-all. Your baptismal history shapes the path you'll walk and which sacraments you'll prepare to receive.

*Duration is a general guide. Formation is adapted to each person, so your path may be shorter or longer.

Not sure where you fit? Most people aren’t, and that is perfectly fine. Bring whatever you know about your background — a baptismal certificate, a family memory, a photo from the day, or nothing at all. Our initiation team will help you sort it out.
