RECongress 2027

Dear brothers and sisters,

For more than seven decades, the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress has brought together people of faith from across the Archdiocese, the nation, and the world for prayer, learning, encounter, and renewal. Through every keynote, workshop, liturgy, and conversation, RECongress has remained a place where hearts are inspired, and the Church is strengthened in mission.

Today, we are excited to share an important new chapter in the life of RECongress. Beginning in 2028, RECongress will move to the city of Long Beach, bringing our beloved gathering back home to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and marking a new chapter in its history. As we look ahead with hope, the 2027 event will be the final RECongress held in Anaheim, California.

Over the years, Anaheim has been the setting for countless memories, friendships, and moments of grace. We are deeply grateful for all that has been shared there and for the many people who have helped make RECongress such a meaningful experience for generations of Catholics.At the same time, the true spirit of RECongress has never been defined by a building or a city. The heart of RECongress is the people who fill the space — the faithful who come together seeking Christ, sharing joy, and renewing the mission of the Gospel.

As we begin this new chapter, we look forward to bringing the same spirit of encounter, worship, learning, and community to Long Beach. Together, we will continue to witness to the joy of the Gospel and carry the spirit of RECongress into the future.

Durante más de siete décadas, el Congreso de Educación Religiosa de Los Ángeles ha convocado a la comunidad de fe de toda la Arquidiócesis, del país y del mundo para orar y aprender en un espíritu de encuentro y renovación. En cada ponencia, taller, liturgia y conversación, el RECongress sigue siendo un lugar que inspira a los corazones y fortalece a la Iglesia en su misión.

Hoy nos alegra compartir un nuevo e importante capítulo en la trayectoria del RECongress.

A partir de 2028, el RECongress se trasladará a la ciudad de Long Beach, trayendo nuestro querido evento de regreso a casa, a la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles, y marcando un nuevo capítulo en su historia. Al mirar hacia el futuro con esperanza, el evento de 2027 será el último RECongress que se celebrará en Anaheim, California.

A lo largo de los años, Anaheim ha sido el escenario de innumerables recuerdos, amistades y momentos de gracia. Estamos profundamente agradecidos por todo lo que se ha compartido allí y por las muchas personas que han ayudado a que el RECongress sea una experiencia tan significativa para generaciones de católicos.

 Al mismo tiempo, el verdadero espíritu del RECongress nunca ha sido definido por un edificio o una ciudad. El corazón del RECongress son las personas que llenan el espacio — los fieles que se reúnen buscando a Cristo, compartiendo la alegría y renovando la misión del Evangelio.

Al comenzar este nuevo capítulo, esperamos llevar el mismo espíritu de encuentro, oración, aprendizaje y comunidad a Long Beach. Juntos, continuaremos dando testimonio de la alegría del Evangelio y llevando el espíritu del RECongress hacia el futuro.
